Bain -We always called him "Bang Bang", because he was so good. The Commanding General gave him his third Silver Star and a Meritorious Promotion to E6 for capturing an enemy patrol on a break, and nonchalantly, he escorted them back to me while he was on point. The CG also ordered him out of the field.

The Blues all signed a Thanksgiving menu for me in 1967, to bring home with me.

I was devistated when I found out from the VA locator that he had died of cancer shortly after retiring......DAVID W.
