Bear Cat

CW2 Dan "Rags" Rager
     One of the most efficient Gun and
     Scout pilots on the face of the earth.
     Once used his Loach to cut a 10 foot
     deep tunnel into a rubber tree grove
     and "code H'ed" his aircraft to rescue
     his platoon leader. Something about
     getting an extra ration of Black Label
     that night ...

WO1 "Turtle" Moss
     after his gunner got over zelous and
     shot a hole in his own rotor blade!
     (See pencil sticking thru hole)

By midday, heat became the enemy, sapping strength from the soldiers.
The heat of the dry season stretched from May to September.
